Full Artist Statement:

Kimberly Kincaid was born and raised in So. California. She studied art throughout her academic years, eventually earning the weekend scholarship at Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design. Not long after attending college, she married and began her family. After a long hiatus, Kim returned to her love of art and began a serious study of art to refresh and refine her skills. She especially enjoys portraiture and fantasy art illustration. She has always felt most comfortable with a pencil, either graphite or colored. Her portrait of her youngest daughter as Sleeping Beauty in Prelude to a Kiss was selected for the 14th edition of Spectrum (2007), an annual of best fantasy works throughout the world. Prelude would later be selected for the Prismacolor Verithin packaging. Himalayan Villager, another pencil color portrait, was a finalist in the Artist Magazine portrait division in 2006 and was featured in their calendar. Kim now resides in No. Utah and works from her studio situated under the copper twirling dragon weathervane.
